This week’s blog post will be less of a blog and more of an update. Admittedly, there has been very little worth writing about (and that I am at liberty to write about) since last week’s post. However, a promise is a promise, and since I committed to regular blog posts, I want to deliver, even if it is only a few lines. The inaugural meeting of Council is on November 7th, 2022, and from there the real work will begin.
Campaigns are always a battlefield of ideas and personalities, and I for one am more than happy to leave this past campaign behind us and focus on making tangible improvements in the Township. Some of this work has already begun in earnest, and I’m looking forward to the first Council meeting after the inauguration, where the ball will start really rolling.
In the meantime, if you have not already subscribed to receive the blog straight to your inbox, you can do so on the website. If you received the email that linked to this blog post and don’t want to be on the mailing list, you can go back to that email and unsubscribe. Thank you to everyone for your continued well-wishes as this term gets underway. These could be some of the most transformative years in the Township of Langley’s history, and I look forward to being a part of the process. However, I need you to keep me accountable. You can reach me through my website, through social media, or through the Township email (once I’ve received it). If we want to restore people’s faith in politics, we need to make more people feel connected to the politics that shape our everyday life, so please don’t hesitate to ever reach out.
Thank you, and all the best!
